    New M5, BMW Performance Center

Just finished some dealer technical training at the amazing BMW Performance Center, and had a chance to see the new M5 up close and action. This car sounds awesome, nice deep throaty exhaust note, and by the looks of the instructors beating the shit out of it, performs like no other. enjoy:p

It looks bloated, and those tires look way to rubberbandy.

appears to ride good though, you can see the outside of the tires are feathered from drifting all over the track. some serious stopping power :)

Wheel wells need to be smaller to look proper with the tires on it....

Also why are cars being made with the wheel wells so large that you can't properly lower the car and have it still look lowered? In this case, there needs to be less car/hood/trunk above the arch too.

              Those are incredibly small tires.

Are those parking spaces really short, or is the car super long?

now that you mention it, the parking spaces do look pretty small. i swear they have the majority of the 1M's that were sent to the states at this facility.

With some better rubber, I would not criticize a thing on that car! I love the lines and everything! Even though it looks heavy, knowing bmw, it probably can still handle like a champ compared to any other car in its weight class!

So is it as big and heavy as a 7 series used to be? I hate to say it, but bmw is turning into a combo of mercedes, toyota and buick (1970s style).

I mean, the car looks pretty nice, but it doesn't scream "badass m5". It looks like a 750il with a nice mtech kit :(

Pretty much. Next to an F10, the E39 practically looks like a 3-series.
