I agree the boxyness makes it look smaller. My car looks ridiculously small next to my boss' CRV.

I have that same year Corolla as a beater/winter car.

Their FUCKING TERRIBLE. most boring POS to drive on the planet.

I recently parked next to one of the new Mini Coupes. Its just as big as the cooper up there in Crusher's photo. Dwarfed over my ix.

No one has noted the lowered cars look smaller. They are small cars though, my mkIV golf is substantially wider and taller than my e30.

I was helping my mom shop for a new car last week and test-drove a Corolla with her. Man, what a fuckin' depressing car. Just stunned at how cheap the interior felt.

beltline is significantly lower on older cars which makes them look smaller.. if you check the wheelbase and the overall length, e30's dimension should be pretty similar to today's compact sedans.

I did test drives of most sedans and for interior by far the altima was the best.

For some colors of paint though toyotas were the best.

and on the other end I think the hyundai and the kia had the worst interiors, but they were the best cars. Came with everything and paddle shifters and hauled ass.
