BMW is BACK. Watch out, ALMS...

BMW and Team PTG have announced their return to the ALMS in 2006, with TWO factory-backed E46 M3's.

I'm so happy I could just, well... I don't know yet.

I went twice to see ALMS at Cali Speedway and it was insane. Way relaxed and definitely one of the two best times Ive had in my life, and trust me, Ive done some pretty crazy shit, lol. I supose it was a different kind of fun, though. Anyways they let you kick it in the pits, walk around the paddock with the drivers, be in the garages while the teams work in the garages on the cars. I was right behind the PTG team pit wall when they came in after winning the race. Blew my mind. We even hopped the wall and took pics of the cars after the drivers had left and the teams walked off. No one even tripped or gave us a second look when we were getting close to the cars. No way in shit that theyd let you be that close to anything in F1 or any other important racing. All for $30 too.

Sounds like a blast! Are there any ALMS races at Portland Int'l Raceway? I might have to head up there if there are!

Awesome. Time to find a schedule of races to see what I can go see.

Limerock. Any other New Englanders interested? End of June 2006.

Glad to see them back, but assuming they aren't running the V8s, Porsche are going to run a train on them.
