    I use DashDyno. http://www.dashdyno.net Supports just about everything from 1996 on up.

          would you guys say that there is a diagnostic tool that works best for e30s? i have an m50 non vanos and looking to invest in a diagnostic.

            My DIS setup with a yellow-head is what the dealer used back in the day.

            Expensive, but its factory

                  I also have the peak tool. I think it's a great thing to have around and it works great in my opinion. Also resets service and oil lights;)

                    still have the DIS at work, but I fogot more now than I know.

                    what do you possibly want to see with a scan tool on a non vanos M50 in an E30???? your wasting your time.

                          And the stomp test doesn't seem to work on my car...IDK why.

                              try swapping out your ECU for a different one. I did then my codes started flashing again.

                              coudl also be a problem with your TPS switch, I'd try cleanign that first.
