    You know..... in the drive down to trade fronts with Mikeedler today..... I gave some thought to the laziness of me having paid to put my motor in. Mike and Dave concurred that the price I paid was exceptional by the way..... but I put things in perspective.

    Am I lazy because I go to the grocery and get packaged meat? I could go to the store and buy a gun and hunt for my food. That would be cheaper right? Or what about me showering? I am lazy because I buy soap? I could pour water through ash and create my own lye and cleanse myself with that. Perhaps its just simple things I'm guilty of being lazy at. Like my computer for example. I bought a packaged laptop. I could have saved money had I pieced one together.

    Oh but wait. I bet you aren't guilty of any of these things are you? I didn't catch the age comment earlier. Good thing I guess. This isn't about who wins and who doesn't. Its about you bein a crap ass in ol boy's thread and then digging up another from 2 months ago and bein a crap ass in it too. Congratulations.

      $700 for an engine install is not being lazy, it's called being smart for taking advantage of a STEAL of a price.

      I know of a local shop that charged $5000 for an S14 install into an M3. That is lazy.

                  im going to agree with you. i work on my car 1. because i like to 2. because i don't really trust anyone to do so and 3. because at the moment i can't afford to pay somone to, but even if i could i would probably still do it:D

                  but 700$ for an engine install is dirt cheap.

                    $700 is a good price for all that work... no denying that...

                    I didn't dig this thread up... a mod pointed it out to me after closing the other thread...

                    Maybe lazy was a bit harsh... how about smartass w/ no true interest in E30's or any skill to properly own one...
                    (obviously otherwise you would do your own work)

                    I wasn't trying to get everyone to AGREE with me that its lazy... nor was I shitting in Justin's thread in the original post... YOU GUYS are the ones who blew this out of proportion, not me!

                    So no I wont calm down... I haven't cared what anyone on this board thought about me since I joined e30sport back in the day Paul... if I did I would have been gone a long time ago... same with a lot of people...

                    The fact is I have met people from here because I'm a good friend... I have volunteered my time and resources to help quite a few people ON and OFF this board with their cars with nothing in it to gain for myself... WHY? Because I LOVE e30's... I love working on them, driving them, and everything about them... most of the time I love the PEOPLE who drive them because they are a lot like me... and even when we share a diff in opinion I wouldn't change any of that...

                    HELL... if you (marakka) or Mike lived in the US or I in Germany I would be more than happy to help you put in a motor so you could save that $700 just because thats who I am...... I would not purposefully attempt to "shit" or DEGRADE, detriment, destroy, or anything else, one of your threads...

                    Paul you and I have almost fought on numerous occasion about things I wont mention and we share a difference in opinion about many things as well as different tastes all together in lifestyle, activities, and so on. But we still share one thing in common that makes us friends... E30's... thats why I picked you up from that Texaco 3 years ago this March and drove you to the SEMAG, then when we got home I got you a job working with me (which btw I ruined my reference for), and put about 200 hours in your car just because... just because thats who I am...

                    so dont make this about me shitting in someones thread... ecspecially someone who's car I worked on outside til 3 am in sub 0 (celcius) and snowing weather...
