Perfectly fine for a temporary solution. Ive seen much more of coils cut off then what was removed. Thats when your asking for trouble. For just cruising around this is great! The transformation that just a drop and some uber nice rims make is mind blowing.

Air ride will be a really nice touch and will make it a "sofa king" of a ride. Since this car will never see track days then its gonna be a great around town kinda ride.

The can tops are kindof an an easter egg. I would have had them anodized in a nice complementary color just for shits and giggles.! Black would go well of course.
Dont everyone steal this idea. Oh, hell go ahead and steal it but give me props!

Well done. Post more update when the air ride gets installed !

Such a great job! I have been dreaming of owning a Bavaria one day to make into a nice clean daily. What is the long term for the suspension? Cut coils and old ass bushings is not doing this classic BMW justice ;)

In love with this car man!

Quoted me like an asshole xD all good, I admit I saw the title and hit the link without reading ANYTHING. Cut coils and all, loved everything. Personally I would have left it stock till the suspension got in, but cutting coils is not bad. He is only daily driving it, so ZERO issues will become of that.

Again looks amazing and made me jump on Craigslist to check the surrounding 500 miles for one. I desire one SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD, more than an E9.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments on both the video and the car.

We actually cut more than what was shown in the video. Since we had a specific ride height in mind, we had to take everything apart 3-4 times to get it perfect since you can only cut in small increments to ensure that you don't cut too much.

Like I said before, it still drives incredibly smooth, and this thing will always be a cruiser so there's no need for stiff sporty suspension.

I love the videography. Especially the usually behind the scenes parts being put in the final cut. Loved it. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Kudos on the awesome Time Lapse shot too.

It's an E3, the four door version of an E9.

That is one for the r3v hall of fame. Best video I have seen here, and the Bavaria just socks me in the eye. I want one nao.
