Just make sure when you order your GC's that you buy spring lengths that are long enough to let you return to stock height. A lot of the shorter springs that are raised all the way up are still really low!
I guess I need snow tires...

Shit, I'd just drive it as is and throw a set of chains in the trunk for the bad places.

Any all-season tires are crap in the snow/ice. You NEED good snow tires for the white stuff. i.e. BS Blizzak's, Nokian Hakka's, etc. For my car, I've got a set of Blizzak WS's and will try some cheap-o Hankook snow tires to see how they do($45/tire). I'll post my reviews.Originally posted by Tvanyokohama all-season tires are worth jack shit in the snow.WTB: 89-91 325iS 5-sp. (Or 318iS). No rust!Comment

Nah, you can install chains easily without jacking the car up. They're meant to be installed that way.Originally posted by p nutDon't you need to jack up the car to put those chains on? Call me a weenie, but I'd hate to do that in 5 degree weather. :p I'd rather just get a dedicated set of snow tires/wheels.
