Honestly though, tomorrow i'm going to a junkyard and picking up some bottle caps and putting winter tires on em. I just hope the wheels are perfectly round.
Yeah, no doubt. I am waiting on this guy to send me some stock weaves so I can put my Blizzak's on. Hopefully, I won't need to get a running start just to get up the driveway anymore...
So you're offering to trade your 14" (not 14', I hope) OEM basketweaves STRAIGHT UP for my 16" Racing Dynamics? Wow, that's very tempting. I'll get back to you on that.
I recently got some Nokian snows on my 14" basketweaves. I like the fact that I can get out of my driveway easily now.
Problem with low car + steep driveway + snow is that, you need to go slow to avoid scraping, but at the same time, need some momentum to get out if you have really shitty bald tires and w/o lsd.
It's only snowed once since I got these tires though. Considering this is Vancouver, I probably won't be faced with snow that many more times. Oh well, I heard these tires are good on ice too.
I had Nokian Hakka's on my last car. Those tires rock on snow and ice. They're too aggressive for around here, but up in Canada, they'd be a good choice.
Oh, I know. I'll be the first to make fun of myself for the rally-like ride height of my car. :D And one of the reasons I'm looking into a GC is to raise it back up during winters.
