I'd rather have a good condition OEM one even if it costs more.
And OP, why whine here? Go to the place and complain. Don't ask for a discount, say you paid for American glass and that's the only thing you'll be happy with. Make them make it right.
I got PPG from Giant Glass for a hundred bucks...took like 15 minutes to install it and a can of silicone spray
This but I used dish soap. Couldnt believe half the prices I was quoted for new glass then even more amazed at why used glass was going for locally...then google answered with the local ppg distributor - $110 after tax. Win.

I sure do love 20 years of rock chips and pitting over a crystal clear new piece of glass.
? Off-brand glass happens to be a pet peeve of mine. I'm sure that almost no one thinks the same way, but whatever.
I agree but not in relation to the windscreen.
It is a little annoying that one of my door windows is made by Sigla, the other by Sicursiv and then the two rear quarter windows are Delodur. In relation to the windscreen, I would always rather a new one. Wouldn't matter if it's American, Australian, Chinese or European. New glass is new glass.
