And OP, why whine here? Go to the place and complain. Don't ask for a discount, say you paid for American glass and that's the only thing you'll be happy with. Make them make it right.

This but I used dish soap. Couldnt believe half the prices I was quoted for new glass then even more amazed at why used glass was going for locally...then google answered with the local ppg distributor - $110 after tax. Win.

What you should have asked for was translucent aluminum.

Oh they haven't invented that yet?

I sure do love 20 years of rock chips and pitting over a crystal clear new piece of glass.

this might sound stupid, but what is the difference between (u.s.) and (chinese) glass??????????

I don't really think I would want the U.S. glass either, what makes it better? sand from death valley?

like stated before, its not a bonded windshield, so what's the fuss? does it fit odd?

I agree but not in relation to the windscreen.

It is a little annoying that one of my door windows is made by Sigla, the other by Sicursiv and then the two rear quarter windows are Delodur. In relation to the windscreen, I would always rather a new one. Wouldn't matter if it's American, Australian, Chinese or European. New glass is new glass.

the chinese glass typically fits poorly (too small) and has optical issues
