^can't say just psi, you know that..

8-10psi isn't the same on every turbo.
    10psi on a Gt28 compared to 10psi on a Gt35 is a huge difference

Actually, I can. 8-10 psi depending on the efficiency of the turbo will be in the ballpark. A gt35 might only need 8 & the gt28 10 for about a 50% gain in power. That is basically 1.6 atmospheres minus turbo efficiency losses. He asked, roughly, what it would take, and 8-10psi is a pretty good starting point for 225whp. There is also a good history of m20 turbos to back that up.

A gt28 is too small for an m20 anyway but that is another discussion.

GT28 is a horrible choice! As it has been stated already in this thread its on the small side for an m20 plus why blow $1300 on a turbo that is maxed by 400 crank hp. If you are dropping that much money on a turbo you should have your sights set higher in terms of a power goal

For wanting 225whp. A gt28 is a great choice. Little bit bigger than a k03 and instant boost..

except it's a butt plug. I like to rev. :)

efficiency = better. if you really want to size a turbo efficiently, learn to read compressor maps.

No it isn't! If you only want 225whp why blow $1300 on just the turbo. The gt28 makes no sense on an m20. If 225whp is all you want buy the eBay turbo kit for like $500 less than a gt28.

If you plan on running that little boost you better choice a properly large wastegate with good flowing port or you gonna creep

talked to my boss last night, whom is a ase mastertech and the guy teaching me on the daily....

pretty much said o-ringing the block is cheese dick, and he won't let me do that in his shop, fair enough.

straight arp headstuds and a metal(mls) type HG he said will do the job. not looking for anything too crazy, so we shall see.

and if it blows up... eh i work in a shop and m20's are cheap, fuck it lol

Make sure the head and block are completely flat or the mls gasket will leak. A Goetz gasket will do just fine

A stock hg will be fine. It's all in your tune.
