You're doing it wrong. It's possible to scare the willies out of your passengers without breaking the speed limit by taking corners faster than they're used to...

+1. Take all corners at or slightly above speed limit = maximum fun capabilities.

I have yet to own a m42 car but ive had low e30's and I also live in LA. But I have yet to ever crack a oil pan.

You car isnt that low ether. Just might need new struts and stiffer springs for slow vert :D

Slow down and be smarter, had no issues with either M42 or M50 in my e30 on Ireland Stage 3's and also ground controls.

Im debating a peerless "heavy duty" skid plate for my m42.
From reading it seems to fail less than the race skidz.

The peerless skid plate is by far the best on the market for our cars. Robert has a video somewhere of him jacking the car up a couple feet, sliding a cinder block under the skid plate, and dropping the car on it smashing the block to pieces. No damage to the plate or pan.

Rule of thumb, the yellow signs with a speed and and arrow, you double that. Those are for trucks and old people.

Peerless is beefy but it's welded to your frame and I remember a thread with a guy who had it take a serious hit and not only destroy the plate but tweak his frame...
