    325es tranny swap PROBLEM ????

    will 1991 318is manual tranny work in a 1986 325eta as a swap auto to manual?

      You need an eta transmission. Make sure that the output shaft fits the large flex disc

        If you feel like doing either:

        1.) Sourcing everything to do the M1.3 upgrade, and doing that. Along with finding a different driveshaft, making custom transmission mounts, and changing up some other stuff.

        OR

        2.) Getting just the different driveshaft, drilling holes in the transmission in the EXACT spot you need to for your flywheel sensors, custom mounts, shifter, and I'm sure some other stuff too.






        Then yes. Otherwise, no.

            That can only be answered as "Maybe but maybe not"

            Depends if it's a SETA or not. The SETA's had the transmission flywheel sensor holes casted shut.

            Just search batman. This is all on here in detail, many times over.

                  Depends on the year. Only late eta's got the big Guibo, 1986 got the same as 325i - either way, the output flanges interchange and can be swapped from one to the other.
