Get an e28 only if you plan on making it euro with some sexy wheels. Or get a 325is.

You are on a E30 site.. Why would you put it here when we all love E30's?

If you're pretty torn, I'd search for both and buy one that you really like specifically. If a modded/enthusiast owned e30 or e28 pops up locally, get it if you really like the car itself, not because it's an e30 or an e28. If you need help to decide you'd probably be happy with either.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

I mean we are all BMW lovers but we would rather an E30 before anything. That's why this site is created for the Enthusiasts and stuff

There is an e28/e34 section too....so, no, not all e30 peeps.

No where in r3v does it say e30 :p

but I do agree, a true E30 enthusiast has love for E28s as well.

I disagree why would anyone get a 4 door 3 series..admittedly at first I wanted a 4 door e30 but then decided on e28. If you want 4 door get a 5 series. e30.. coupe or vert.

                      I have both.

Ok there is plently of philosophical conjecture going on, but bottom line is this:

Get whatever you get the best deal on first. They are both great cars in different ways. The deal that you will strike will be the deciding factor.

Owned two e30 coupes, now have a sedan and wouldn't go back to a 2door e30 unless it was track/weekends only

This. If you're struggling between the two just find the cleanest, best taken care of example you can afford; you'll be happy either way. It's not like this is going to be you're only car for the rest of time.
