I'd sell my 24v e30 and daily the e28 every day of the week.
I'd never track the e28, though.

E28's feel like great open road cars, stable and planted. Not so nimble.

E30's seem to be more nimble and the suspension feels more responsive. There is more feedback. I also run without power steering, which makes me feel more "connected" to the road.

But really, I don't think either choice will disappoint.
