E28s really grow on me....until I drive one. I've driven 528, 535, 524...all manuals. And I get in and drive and remember why I don't like them. They feel old and square to me.

they feel less ancient to me. The dash has smoother lines, the windshield is better sloped and the b-pillars aren't 90* angled.

I'm not saying e30s aren't old boxes, it's just that e28s feel REALLY archaic to me.

i like both my friend just got one i dig it roomier than the e30 for sure also because its a bigger car it feels like it rides a tad smoother too

both drive great, but parts are much more abundant for the e30 so for me i'd say sedan e30 is a good compromise!

Get a honda, then once you crash it (you said this is for your first car), figure out which BMW you want.

If you manage NOT to crash the honda, you then have a second car for when the BMW is broken and needs work.

In my opinion, it depends what your going for. E30's and E28's are both beautiful cars. E28's look more classy and luxurious, and E30's looks more sporty and mean. If you wanted a car that youd just use to pimp around and look nice in, I'd say an E28. But if you plan on going to the track to grip or drift, I'd say an E30. I had to make the same decision. But since I'm only 17 and I'd like a bit of both style and track use, I got a 4 door E30.

Yet again, this is just my opinion.

if you can find a euro E28 they look much more aggressive than the e30 , euro bumpers , big and little front end conversion e28s also have more raked front end than the e30 does , you can make an e30 look aggressive just not as much , ive driven in both i like both all BMWs of this vintage are good driving cars you cant really go wrong with any car bmw made in the 80s
