The euro 3.2 e36 m3. Those go like stink, and are bad ass.
3.8 e34 M5 is also bad ass.
The 2002 turbo has a charm in it's own way.
E30 M3 looks good....
Any e46 m3 is pretty damn awesome.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the M3 GTR. I'm not sure it was ever produced as a street car but there's something about those ultra-wide fenders and that huge wing that excudes an attitude of speed and performance at the exspense of any practicality what so ever. I've seen both e36 and e46 versions mocked up but I don't know how many of them came out of the factory like that. I like both and I'd love to see the looks on people's faces if were to use one to commute around my small hick town.
In all reality my top five bimmers are:
1) e30 M3
2) M3 GTR, e36 or e46, doesn't really matter to me
3) e36 M3
4) e46 M3
5) e39 M5
