On further inspection I have come to the conclusion that this might in fact be 50% Golf with only the rear being a Jetta, any ideas?

Heres a cool rear engine VW I worked on. 69 (i think) type 2 bus with an LS vette engine, vette front end, tube chassis, and 9" ford rear. This is the only pic I could find.. but its a pretty cool rig.. built by some dudes in Texas. Ridiculous to drive, completely impractical
