    Couple vs sedan values.

If you found two E30s, same year, mileage, condition, etc, what do you think the price difference would be if one was a coupe and the other one was a sedan? I'd think a coupe would bring more but I'm not sure how much, maybe 10 or 15%?

    No significant difference.
There's more demand for 2 door e30s but there's more of them so they're easier to find.
There's less demand for 4 door e30 but they are harder to find.
Works out to be about the same and I wouldn't say one is more valuable than the other.

      Sedans are worth more...

      ....as parts cars.

No really, I love sedans, but at this point, I'd take a coupe.

generally, unless someone is an e30 nut with a family, they are going to gravitate toward the coupe. i think that if there were two identical cars side by side in condition and mileage, the coupe would sell for more money because they seem to be more desirable.

i have sold both 2 doors and 4 doors. the 4 door needs to be in better shape than the coupe to sell for a reasonable price in my experience.

False. I prefer sedans. I have no family.

I honestly don't think there's much of a price difference, but I do believe a coupe will sell faster

Unless you take the rear seats out, then you could say it's a coupe.

I prefer 4 door sedan over the 2 door sedans because kids.

2dr sedan vs 4dr sedan... well, you can't get a 325is/318is 4dr (at least not in the U.S.?), so that's what gravitated me towards a 2dr. It's a PITA to source all the parts to make a non-"is" car into an "is" so I'd much rather just buy one with all the stuff. I'm pretty sure most people will agree that they don't go out looking for comfort seats, open diffs and less-aggressive suspension. I actually think I like the look of the 4dr better, but don't have the time, money, or energy to convert one to "is" spec.

There are more 4 doors out there already converted than you realize.

My sedan came out of a field, with a 5 speed and 3.73 LSD installed.

4 doors allow you to transport more whores.
therefore, their value is much greater.

The car in question is actually a 91 lachsilber over black with 115k or so. I ran the vin online and it has an LSD. Also has sport seats, spoiler, and weaves so its basically an is.
