    Time Capsule Karman Ghia

I saw this at CarsnCoffee yesterday and despite all the Ferraris & Porsches, this one got its pic taken...it has 10k on it and looks better than showroom fresh.

    Who would have thunk it

Realisticly? Probably somewhere around 10-15k for a car like that.

The guy who pointed the car out to me said he couldnt understand why anyone would restore a car that was worth maybe $15k on a good day. Then he explained that it was unrestored so its actually worth more. They can only be unrestored once :-)

That one is very nice, a VW dealer here has a restored one in their showroom that they're asking $26k for.

True, but ACVW guys think their cars are made out of solid platinum and represent the pinnacle of human engineering.

(when in reality they drive decrepit, overvalued, worn out economy cars from 40+ years ago)

I sold my beetle after I bought a pair of points that were machined so poorly that they couldn't even function. 99% of the aftermarket for those cars is the same way. Got sick of replacing shitty OE with shittier aftermarket, and then swapping back because at least the shitty OE kinda worked.
