Accounting 101:

The longer you wait to get your money back, the less likely you will see payments (i.e. get a refund). This transcends into somewhat of a progressively tiered pattern where eventually you can expect to not receive any money at all. Remember, his creditors have greater rights to his money than you do. So get that money back!
