so much better. I'd absolutely watch this every week. As long as they focus in on the builds and racing aspect and not so much the buy/sell, it'll be great entertainment!

Any TV show -- be it drama, comedy, reality, even a game show -- succeeds on the basis of compelling characters. You main guy seems pretty cool ... I'd introduce him almost immediately and show him interacting with BMW enthusiasts with whom he does business. You can still intersperse action footage over the dialog. Have him explain who he is, what his motivation is, and why his business is so unique and interesting.
A couple of posters have compared your concept to "Pawn Stars." It's an appropriate comparison. You need to recognize that viewers tune into "Pawn Stars" because the people involved with that business are interesting -- the store is just a place where they interact. So I'd suggest you follow their example and put your own characters front and center -- both your host and his clientele.
Meanwhile, I wouldn't go more than about five minutes for your entire sizzle (my strongest one runs about 2:30 and is entirely character-driven). The world of TV pitching lies at an intersection of tons of potential producers like you ... and the short attention spans of potential buyers and producing partners who have people coming at them from all directions, at all hours of the day and night. Make your point early and quickly and you'll have a better shot.
All that said, a quick disclosure: I'm still a nobody -- I have not yet sold any of my projects. However, I have spent the past couple of years -- and thousands of dollars -- learning the ropes with industry pros and attending reality-genre TV events. I've met and spoken with some highly successful (and uber-wealthy) showrunners, most of whom take no prisoners. I actually got verbally bitch-slapped by Howie Mandel about a year ago at Realscreen in D.C. when one of my pitches failed to impress him (he's kind of a jerk in person).
Anyway, best of luck on your project -- I hope to see it on air someday. :-)

Also why is this public, if you are pitching to networks you want this to be private...for instance if Discovery were to Pick this show up now that you have shown everyone, what stops a competing network from picking up the same show from somebody else, making it better, and knocking you off of your feet.
The world of Network television is a nightmare...believe me

Very good point -- on both counts! With respect to protecting your concept, there are a couple of things you can do. First, have your friend do a write-up and register it on http://www.wgawregistry.org/webrss/ It'll cost him $20 and afford him some small protection of his intellectual property (frankly not a whole lot but it's better than nothing). Even more important, have your friend get his subject -- the shop owner -- to sign an exclusivity contract. Once signed, the shop owner will be unable to sign with anyone else during the period of the contract, which serves to protect your friend's investment in what he's shot and edited thus far. This is a critical document to have -- some networks will not work with a producer who doesn't have an exclusivity agreement with his subject. Not only does this demonstrate to a potential buyer your producer friend has at least some show business acumen, it always gives him some leverage with his subject if things go well (i.e. his subject can't cut him out of a deal).ainadude

Honestly, I did not mind the first one. It was by no means good but it seemed to have potential. The speaker selling douche was boring and the sticker install was pointless without telling us why they were putting them on in the first place.
This new trailer is a hundred times better though. Really like it. Nice hook at the end too.
