I can't get passed the front and rear bumpers. They look identical...and atrocious.

Looks pretty darn good. I hope they get rid of the side vents though.

Also the rear looks too busy.

I am severely disappointed with this. I mean, they did this to make the 3 series a sedan only and the 4 series a coupe only.

Now, with that in mind...does this mean if we get an M3 in an F chassis that it will be 4dr only? Or are they planning on killing the M3 (May as well tie their own noose if they do kill the M3)? Also, does this mean if they make an M coupe, it will be an M4??

    WHY?!!?

Also, Jalopnik posted this today....the comments are hilarious.

BMW is known for its well-named styling trademarks. The Hofmeister Kink. The Kidney Grill. Now BMW is sticking a little fender vent on its new cars. What name should it get?

I posted the picture of the Autozone fender vents and added this as my comment:

"Guess these vents were getting so popular, BMW decided to use them....

    BMW, I am disappoint."

Maybe they are making the 4 series so they can return the 3 series back to what it should be and get rid of the 1 series.

Or just make the 1 series the front wheel drive eco box it is about to be.

at least we know for sure now that the M3 is basically dead. M4? 4-door only M3 the size of an E39 M5?

god, BMW sucks so much these days. yeah, I'm a hater. okay, whatever. bloated, overcomplicated turds. BMW is right, the 3 series has reached it's zenith, because it's dead now.

I mean, it looks pretty neat in the details, but why not just call it a 2-door 5 series..

Good luck selling the 4 series in any east asian country.

Number 4 (四; accounting 肆; pinyin sì) is considered an unlucky number in Chinese because it is nearly homophonous to the word "death" (死 pinyin sǐ). Due to that, many numbered product lines skip the "4": e.g. Nokia cell phones (there is no series beginning with a 4),[6] Palm[citation needed] PDAs, Canon PowerShot G's series (after G3 goes G5), etc. In East Asia, some buildings do not have a 4th floor. (Compare with the Western practice of some buildings not having a 13th floor because 13 is considered unlucky.) In Hong Kong, some high-rise residential buildings omit all floor numbers with "4", e.g. 4, 14, 24, 34 and all 40–49 floors, in addition to not having a 13th floor. As a result, a building whose highest floor is number 50 may actually have only 35 physical floors. Singaporean public transport operator SBS Transit has omitted the number plates for some of its buses whose numbers end with '4' due to this, so if a bus is registered as SBS***3*, SBS***4* will be omitted and the next bus to be registered will be SBS***5*. Note that this only applies to certain buses and not others and that the final asterisk is a checksum letter and not a number. Another Singaporean public transport operator SMRT has omitted the '4' as the first two digit of the serial number of the train car for (North South and East West) Lines as well as the SMRT Buses NightRider services.
