    Poor E36

I'll be parting this thing out as soon as I figure out what I want out of it to put in my E30.

I've been around BMWs for about 6 years now. I own a E46 and 2 E30s (one I'm parting out) and I currently got a hold of the E36 I posting about in this thread. I'm only writing this cause I thought some of you might find it interesting the life of a car as it goes from person to person.

First, let me say I got this E36 as payment to do some work on a guys E34 M5. I've known the guy for 17 years and he doesn't take very good care of any of his cars....or anything he has for that matter. I'm posting this on here because when I got the car to my house pulled out the title and typed in the Vin# on google and BimmerForums came up. Seems the guy that sold this car back in 06 to the guy I got it from is a member on here. On the link below are pictures of the car when it was in better shape....much better shape.

Bimmerforums is the preferred online BMW Forum and community for BMW owners. At Bimmerforums, you will find technical how-to information maintenance specifics audio advice wheel and tire combinations and model specific details not found anywhere else. Our professionals are here to help make sure you find the answers you need to your questions and our community is here to help other brainstorm ideas for the future.

I got this car so I could use parts of it on my E30 and to part out the rest to other BMW enthusiasts like myself. Below are pictures of the car as it sits today...a far cry from what it once was. The guy I got it from not knowing anything about cars told me it had a M3 engine in it and as soon as I popped the hood I saw that it was not the S52 from the M3 but most likely a 325 engine. The car has bondo everywhere...on the hood, on the roof, doors (not all). The only place I didn't find bondo was on the trunk. I can also tell you that the guy I got this car from has never done any sort of body work or paint on this car. The car has been sitting for almost 5 years since he wrecked it.

What did you use to swap it to 5 lug? How does the car handle at speeds above 60MPH?

So we're supposed to be sad that a 328 E36 is dead? I'm ok with it.

I'm asking because there are plenty of people that say the car becomes unstable after 60mph with 5 lug conversions. I'm not asking just for my health. I'm been researching this for a long time and I have 2 young girls I put in the car everyday and the last thing I need is a unstable car with them in it....but thank you for your wise answer.

I don't like seeing any BMWs in that condition.
