put dual tips on my swapped 318. told muffler shop to expand the valence opening. they literally cut a corner, limited tools I suppose. so now the right side of the opening is a 90 degree corner. still need to smooth that out...

I once cut an e30 into pieces to fit onto a civic.

credit for the idea goes to my stepdad though. good luck man.

i had to break the tab that held my exhaust up and so when i put it back it on i had to find a way to keep it back up lol. i never drove like this, but whenever i moved my car this is how it was help up.
Thanks man, good to know I'm not the only one haha.

When you say your frame rails are a little bent, what do you mean? The beam, ie, the subframe itself? The shell of the car? My car has been in a few minor accidents, but I don't think anything is bent, especially that far forward from the rear. Did you install poly bushings, or OE replacements? Mine are poly bushings from IE. Thing is, it didn't seem like they were too big around. Seemed more like they were all the way in, and just couldn't go in any farther. And they didn't budge, even after torquing the subframe bolt to 100ftlbs. I have no idea on this one...

i hate you all. I have 58k+ into my 3 e30s and never once have cut corners. my closest to cutting corners is getting a used part from pick 'n pull.

I kept my front lip on with zipties. You couldnt see them, but all of the brackets had broken so i just used zipties and it worked until it got ripped off and ran over and shattered...now i want the actual clips for the front to hold it on but can't find any

I think it goes without saying, that if most of us had this kind of budget, cutting corners would not be required.

I mean the unibody itself. by rails i mean the part where the subframe bolts into the car. after hitting a curb in an accident i'm sure i tweaked the body a bit hence the bolts not going in flush. they would start but then just get stuck. and i just used my old subframe bolts.

Also, when theres a new e30 at the pick n pull it's like Christmas.

I do very well for myself financially, yet I love getting dirty and "the hunt"
