I a lot M tech things but nothing that says M3, I reserve the M3 logo items to stay on M3 vehicles. the only other thing that I am kinda inbetwen on is the shift and e brake boots that have the triple stripe on them they look cool but I think that it is a little to much flash for most BMW's, I wanted to get both at first but I reserve myself to getting E30 M3 ebrake boot and e36 ebrake handle and a plain leather shift boot.

i have pedals, wheel, and shifter. and one day a m motor.

you could say m-tech parts and a m car or m motor. bmw does make m stuff for non-m cars. they are considered their m-technic line or something like that.

There's the answer I was looking for...

So... Before I put the mtech II bumper and rear valance on my touring... should I put some serious effort into finding a good exhaust or should I wait? Thanks for the help JordoJr.

I know. I was kidding. :) Your car can be more easily confused with an E30 ///M3 due to its Diamantschwarz color and shadowline. I remember in Monte Carlo we saw an M-tech 2 diamond black car and my dad took a pic of it thinking it was an E30 ///M3. I had to show him the pic to make him believe it wasnt after we had discussed it for him to believe me.

My car has that knob as well and the PO (original owner) said it was a dealer option.

I can almost bet my life that that knob was definitely not a dealer option. Looks like the knob from the E46 PP. Lots of people trying to sell cars talk out of their ass to see how far they can go in getting people to think they know what theyre talking about without getting called on their bullshit. :)

Hmm... no here's an interesting topic thats similar to this one. My friend dropped an M52 into his E30 M3 (I think b/c of funds) and He shaved all his badges off. He decided to put his ///M3 badge on and also was considering putting the ///M valve cover on. I thought that would be too much of a gay move so I spoke my mind and let him know. He ended up changing his mind... Was I right in doing this?

nothing wrong with things like an M shift knob or wheels with tiny m valve stem caps or something. I just hate when people put M5 or M3 badges on a car thats not an M. Unless you have the goods to back your claim, your not only embarrassing yourself, but your embarrasing the guys with real M cars. Especially when your 318 with an M3 badge loses a race to a honduh civic with a fart can..

i think the only way a 318is would loose to a civic in the straights or curvies is if the 318 was going backwards....i bet you have an eta mr big mouth
