I think lowering any car makes the cv joints wear out faster?

then again for all I know my ix has 260k on stock cv joints... so if I only have to change them out every 100k with them lowered it wouldn’t be too bad. Does anybody have any actual experience with them wearing out?

nobody I know of has damaged CV axles from lowering, it's pretty much all hearsay. there was a guy who broke one on the ix group but his car was stock and he knew his joints were going bad for a long time.

I used to have ITRAX spring on my ix and the front axle boots were ripped every 2-3k miles, it was a real pain... I sold the car to my friend who put the stock springs back on and never had boot problem again... That may be the reason why nobody sells ix springs...

I talked to him but he didn't say anything about going with a GC setup. He just gave me some pointers on suspension setup. I wound up getting a set of Autosport springs from Bavarian autosport which are made in Germany. The fronts are from a e-28 528 and the rears are from a 325is. They lower the car an inch at each corner. It came to $200 so hopefully all will work out.
