I'd wager that Maldonado brought more money to the table then Hulkenberg and Lotus wants to make a strong showing with the new season. Sooner that Lotus can exert a dominance as a "#1 team" instead of going the way of McLaren or Williams and falling to the back or mid pack of the grid the better for them to secure better financing in the following seasons...Hopefully Maldonado doesn't mess up too much and ruin Lotus's chances of securing a good constructor's spot next year. It's definitely a long game move but more so for the team than the driver.

Next year will be interesting. I hope the hulk can scrounge a deal up somewhere so he can stick around a bit longer for a top-tier drive. He deserves a shot.

From the reports online, he's going to have his old pal Smedley as a race engineer, so that can't hurt anything.

Hopefully they have a stronger car as Massa deserves better than what they have to offer this season. I hear Ross Brawn is going to be available next year...hhmmmm...

I've been watching my other favorite teams/drivers more than worrying about what Seb is doing. Grosgean has really come into his own the second half of this season and I'm always rooting for Force India to score some good points as well.
Agreed, Grosgean was not my favorite, but he is really getting good quick!

I love that Maldanado was bragging about his 1 point, then bottas blows him away, haha!

I was there, it was a pretty boring race but the donuts in the hairpin by Vettel were awesome. We walked down there before the end of the race thinking thats where he would do it if he did and sure enough.. I'm glad he's doing something to make fans hate him less
