Hope Schumi pulls through, he had a major skiing accident and is in critical condition...

Outside of that the roots of F1 has always been money and technology. Remove all the stupid nonsense rules like tire degradation and engine caps while making it more affordable and I am all for it.

^agreed. Fastest enginnered open wheeler possible with a guy driving it at its limits for the duration of a race. V10's screeming at 22k rpm ah the good ol days

I love the enginnering aspect of F1. Its like watching an entire industry/buisness compete and getting to see the inovation in a physical form. From engineering to creating revenue, driver talent, pit strategy and performance its just fantastic. Guys using helium in air guns because it helps it to spin just a fraction faster thats what F1 should be about. Not double points, carrying weight penalties(its only a matter of time) testing bans, drs, its all bs.

    Roots would be no aero.

I want the bleeding edge of technology, not some faux throw back to cars from 50 years ago.

I think double points race can only help add excitement, but DH destroys purity of the game!

Double points would have given G. Villeneuve a championship.

    Eddie to the rescue...

He is spot on with everything,,,,, cant believe what I am typing about ol easy eddie, although I love the current knockout qualy format... wish more series would adopt it,,,, just need to bring back refueling but with the shity tire regs I guess fuel load would be a moot point as drivers never pace at max performance anymoe.

I think awarding points for fastest lap would be a step in the right direction, but pole points is a bit much not to mention the double points stuff.

I am pleased that the drivers now get to choose their own number, though. that was a welcome change.

I agree. That and the proposal for points for pole positions. I'm gonna be getting Speed 2 so I can watch BTCC and more sports car races.

Maldonado could only break the frenchie down if he side swipes him at the start of a turn or in pit lane...Basically so long as Grosjean can keep driving as well as he has then he should be okay.
