so theres a local junk yard by my house that just got a few e30s. i ran over there and came across some good parts i think...

• 3.73 lsd
• is lip
• 2 volvo lips as backups (incase other get damaged drifting(again))
• hella us ellipsoids
• new grill
• 13 button obc
• new glovebox handle
• mtech2 steering wheel (with a little wear)

how do you guys think the 3.73 will do in my 318is? i am into drifting and wante to get a lsd and came across this.. think i will have much luck with my little m42?!? haha

Nice find! I'd be real stoked to find a good Mtech2 wheel than the diff.

If your 318is has a medium case diff (i think it does?) then you can swap the lsd unit into your diff.

Doesn't the 318is come stock with a 4.10 LSD? Not sure swapping to a 3.73 would be a help for drifting with a stock motor

and yeah only some came with a lsd 4.10 out the factory and alot came with open diffs (like mine)

^ Is your 4.10 a med case? You can swap the lsd portion, it's not a really big deal.

I thought all 318is's had small case, 4.10 lsds from the factory.

they came with 4.10s small case but not all were LSD.

My dad has a s3.73 in his 318is. It's really nice for daily driving and commuting, but definitely not for drifting. Sell the s3.73 and buy a 4.10 lsd. (small, or medium case) My dad likes the added weight in the rear from the medium case.
