i dont know my cars model

Hi, i feel very dumb for asking this, but i have just realized that my car is not a 325es like i thought it was.
First of all, it is a 1987 BAUR E30. It has the eta engine because it redlines at 5k. I was looking at http://www.answers.com/topic/bmw-3-series
My car was repainted by previous owner and was debadged.
It was owned by a man in germany, then he moved to the US in 91 and had the car federalized, including installing US bumpers. Everything else about the car is Euro.
I believe that my car is actually a 320i. But it has a trunk lip spoiler and sport seats. Did they not badge 6 cylinder cars as "S" in europe even though it has the sport trim package?
the 320i has 129HP and 95kW of torque correct?

    Help is greatly appreciated.

in the drivers door jam does it say what it is? That might have been messed up with the repainting. could it be a 323?

that is not a 2.0 motor. 2.0 motors didnt have that style intake with the distributor cap on the front. actually, 323 cars didnt either. It is a 2.7ETA motor I would bet, but the intake kinda looks like an I unit, but the throttle body is the small one from the ETA or 2.0.
the tag telling what it is should be on the right side, under the hood, just above the headlights.

cool car, too bad bout those bumpers though.

                  That's a 2.7. What you've got appears to be a Baur TC 325e.

exactly what i thought too, but the crap on the R/ side is not from an I motor.

its E, note the location of the vacuum connection for the FPR.

                            Plus the runner size.

that is an ETA Motor, and the chassis is def an 04/86+ due to the C101 connector.
