for a touring, iw ould do it. i didn't bring mine in, I bought it on this continent.

but regardless, I was going to import one if this hadn't come along first.

having a car that handles great, but the room of a station wagon boggles my mind.

but the best part is that every day (in the summer) when I walk out to my car and its an e30 touring, I just have the biggest shiteating grin on my face.

          every time

every time I walk out of my house and see my smashed the hell up touring in my driveway, I get a shit eating grin too- what fun it was beating the hell out of it!!!
Im telling you guys, air force, or army, it is TRANSCAR that ships them, and they wont touch a car that wasnt in the states before. call and ask! the car has to have been FROM the U.S.
import this!! this is how the touring lives its last days!!

dude what about if u buy a brand new US spec car here? how do people ship em back. Army must have something to do with it bc i know people who have shipped older cars back.

I have to side with the group saying they would only do it for a truly unique E30 (a Touring, an M3 Evo, or perhaps a retired factory M3 racer). Anything else can be duplicated with enough time and money.

Interesting bit about the USAF shipping cars over for free....never knew that.

I've said it before.... I am down to go through the process of working with someone to ship a touring. I need someone who is serious and has $$$$ to do it though. No bullshitting allowed. You come at me with well then maybe yada yada..... you can basically forget it. I have too much shit on my plate to go through that. But if you do the leg work of paperwork and arranging shipment I can do the footwork of sourcing a touring.
Once I hit the lottery, I'm calling you ;-)

An E3S or an Alpina creation would be first on my list.

                    Nothing else though.

if you buy a brand new car from aafes, they did ship it here. if you buy a volvo, or bmw, it is USUALLY added into the price when you buy it to ship it back.
