It is nice. Post pics once you've obtained it.
I have a feeling he wants to re-do the head as well. Sounds like he plans on spending $500 or so for his standards, and yes he will be doing most of the work himself.

The iX has all new brakes and rotors, T-Belt and Water pump, new exhaust, fluids flushed and filled in the last year. 4 new CV boots up front and 2 very nice front axles from my other iX that was totaled a few years back. He's getting a good solid E30 and I am getting a clean and sorted E24.

Also, there's limited space under the wheel arches, so you're limited in terms of wheel/tire selection. Other than that, they're cool cars.

Not really.. the rear arches will swallow 10s without complaining, running 255s out back is not uncommon. 235 is really the most you can run up front, but that's enough for most purposes. The big problem is lack of front travel...

I run 17x8.5 et13 up front, et-2 in the back (et13 + 15mm spacer), only a bit of rubbing up front at full lock.

Another BMW expert shares his wealth of misinformation. :cockbloc:
If you don't know what your talking about with 100% certainty, why post?

Here's 275/40's on a 9" wheel with plenty of room to spare.

I've seen 10 1/2" on the back and 9 1/2 on the front.
