Thing looks like it's been sitting along time.....10/00 inspection sticker. 12 years is a long time to be sitting.

What's funny is I spoke with Pete a few years back and about a rebuild he did on one of his or alex's engine. I have one of his personal engine's in my white M3 and I will say it looks far better than that one.

If you bought it good luck, I would add some marvel or 3M oil in the piston bores and pull the valve cover and poor some oil over the cams. The gently turn over the engine by hand.

I've ridden in an M3, I like it there, but don't see the point of spending M3 money putting an s14 in a normal E30.

Good deal lighter than a US spec M3, and doesn't carry the collector price the M3 chassis does.

This car was FS about a year ago actually... I spoke the guy in lengthy emails..Almost bought it.

I dunno, it's the road less traveled, that's for sure and for the same price, one could have an S50 swap. However, BMW did put an S14 in the Italian 320iS so it's not unheard of.
