also in my old POS e30 someone parked so close to me I had to get in from passenger side. a few bashes of my car door against their brand new car hopefully helped them never do that again. Dented my door a little but you should have seen theirs it was worth it.

I made that assumption based on your comment about not knowing how you would react. Usually that means someone has strong emotions and that can sometimes lead to an emotional reaction. This often manifests itself in a physical manner.

I'd probably try getting the police to make a report and force his insurance to pay for it, but I'm not sure if they'd bother with something so petty.

Set up a camera. This is the only way.
Sure there are a bunch of way you can maybe get him to stop. But this is the only way to catch him with proof. Then you can present the proof to him when you confront him if he denies it, the police, and the insurance companies.

Your lucky. I have a neighbor that really wants to be a guys guy and comes over and thinks he can bullshit with me in the garage whenever he wants. He is from ElSalvador and wears a belt buckle and carries a bunch of keys on a keyring that is mounted to his side (ala Security Guard stlye) . He then proceeds to lean over my drivers fender and look into my bay and tell me about the time he was in ElSalvador and had to replace a steering rack and it was extremely expensive cause they cant get the parts as easily as in the states. I immediately yelled and said , "no leaning on the ride".

Now every time he comes over he waves his hands over the top of the e30 like a magician and says oooohhh no leaning on the ride.

Im damned if I do and damned if I dont on that one. LOL

Lmao, atleast you can say something. I feel guilty telling a grandpa to not lean on my car. But i'll admit, i'd rather have fingerprints on my car then door dings/ scratches.
