If his driver's door is next to your passenger door, ask him if he'll trade assigned spots with you. That way, your driver's door opens to his passenger door, and he presumably won't be hitting your car anymore.

Reading this thread reminds me of when my GF and I had a 97 escort and parked next to this lady with a black sunfire? cobalt maybe?

Anyway, all along the rub strip of the passenger side of her car was small notches from our door hitting it.

The lady confronted me about it, I (like an ass) shrugged it off and told her that's what the strip was for...to protect her doors from damage. I further refused to pay for anything and never heard from her again
