So when did spacers become some kind of dangerous taboo? Spacers and studs, call it a day. :/

I don't know if people think spacers are dangerous. Why not get a 5 lug e30 hub that already provides the clearance you might need or the desired appearance without the use of a spacer?

It also begins to limit wheel options. Makes no sense to me to replace the entire hub assembly (except to go 5 lug) just to space some wheels out.

I feel I would rather spec some proper wheels and space them accordingly, than have a hub that limits my wheel options completely.

What brakes do you use with them?

Is anyone here running one of these Ergen kits?

Also, in for pics of OP's thicker hub that doesn't move the rotor.

Me too. Curious to how he thinks he can pull it off with brakes in the same spot.

Just make some spacers for the brake calipers because wheel spacers freak me out so much that I would rather put a spacer on my brake caliper then the wheel.

I've got it! If you make a 2 piece hub that has a rotor mounting surface in the original plane and then a second part that fits over the rotor to add the extra thickness needed, that would totally work !

                          Oh, wait a minute....

It feels like everyone is fine with spacers. 5x120 wheel hubs might be worth while.
