    Taillight options

Has anything come out recently that is different from the All Red or Smoked look? I'd like to modern up the rear of my car a little...

notta new thing erik, I wish there was though. I'd like to have newer taillights.

I was considering implementing an LED style, like on the new Ci's and M3 CSL, but after some photoshop, well, it didn't look as good as I thought it would.

I also considered teh CELIS idea from late E39's. Again, PS said no.

i've heard from the whole LED idea that it doesn't function well. You may like the way it looks but people behind you cannot see your brake lights unless they are at the correct angle.

haven't you heard? altezzas are all the rage now!!

I think you're pretty much stuck with what you have unless you want to custom fabricate something. If you want a change of pace, why not just go with smoked? they'd probably look pretty good on your car with the plate filler.

oh and as far as LEDs go, that's why they make diffusers and lenses. you'd have to use a whole lot of LEDs to fill up an E30 tailight properly!

No clue, I just found it on a website one day. I could see it being real though, if the car isn't actuallly moving and just jacked up on the passenger side. :D

I did these myself... they came out surprisingly well.

I thought the ALL red ones were a bit over the top

Oh yeah, so he does! My bad.

Lukas, how did you get round the fact that the turnlights are red? I put orange bulbs in mine but they still flash red. Maybe it's legal for you guys over there??

lots of cars come from the factory with red tailights. I can't think of any modern BMWs with orange blinkers.

In the UK they are all orange, there isn't a single car with red blinkers, they are all orange or clear and they all flash orange.
