Slicktops are def worth a premium to me; simpler the better. I also prefer the crank sunroof.

I agree that slicktops appeal to a certain demographic of e30 owners, but those owners are very specialized and niche. It all depends on what the person is looking for and personal preference. Some people want a 325iS with full power everything, popout windows, and heated seats, while someone just wants a traceable DD and would opt for a Slicktop, AC delete, barebones 318iS. The fact is, people wanted top of the line then and paid for it, and that still rings true today.
