Gfest is good as the attandees make it.
To that end we decided to move to center of town and hold on a saturday for several reasons:
- Lot of distant attandees making the trip, by having it on a Saturday we can hold dinner/drinks Friday night and have the event late into Saturday night.
- Consistent feedback from previous years "nothing for my wife, girlfriend, kids to do"... For that we are working with the town to leverage the spas, hair salons, the kitchen gadget store and even the the toy store. Giving the "non car" loved ones something to do while the car lovers can talk and see great cars.
- Event just getting too big to host at our shop.

it is with great sadness that my 1000th post is to say i probably will not be able to make it this year. just laid off 3 chefs at work and we're stretched to thin right now for me to get a weekend in may.:-(:-(:-(:-(:-(:-(

Undecided at this point. I have a lemons race the weekend before that so I think I scheduled myself to fly that week. Would like to attend and maybe if we do well bring two cars.
Just depends. Nice to see it being held on Saturday. That's a big plus for those that travel to the show. Gives a non work day to get home after a night of rest.Comment
