Technically the manager of one outlet said no to $500, not someone who actually makes these decisions. I think his lawyer friend is being overly optimistic about the settlement he will be able to reach and op is counting his chickens before they hatch. I understand principles and all, but would you honestly be able to turn away a settlement like that if it was awarded to you? Guess I'm a scumbag because I don't believe I could.
*Sigh* I need to have a little conversation with my local Les Schwab

Well, this has turned out to by quite the shit show. I am running out of patience, and am currently sitting in a local hospital hooked up to a dilauded drip for something not related to anything in this thread. That said, my grammar and thought structure might be a little bit out of balance because of the opiates.
There is no court involvement at this point. LS is attempting to keep this out of court, and are attempting to wrap this up as soon as humanly possible so they can get me to sign an NDA and stop doing things like post online about how their negligence cause my wheel to fall off. I think that you know a lot less about what's going on here than you think you do.You all who believe this guy are morons who have No clue how the legal system works. I called bullshit from the beginning as soon as he started quoting his lawyer's "words". Just think about the situation this kind of stuff doesn't happen and if it does it is not settled in a week for 100k it would take months of court and investigations, no company in there right mind (even if they are guilty) is just gonna settle for 100k a week after they told this kid to fuck off.
Bull shit story is bull shit.
NSX's go from $25000 to $65000 for decent condition ones, LEGAL Skylines can go from $20000 to $250000. I love the looks of the NSX over the R32GTR, but performance potential has to go to the GTR.
I'm glad you guys go so much enjoyment out of my little bit of misfortune.
Yep, because I've had time to settle this, get a check, make sure all the taxes and lawyer fees are paid, go out and search for my car, test drive a few, and finally buy it. I mean, that's a funny funny joke! Good for you, would you like a cookie?
It'll be a few weeks or months before I have a new car. I'm not going to run out and buy the first thing I look at just to keep you guys happy. I'm looking at rare and rather illusive cars, so it's going to take me a while to find the right one. Also, keep in mind that I might not buy something that extravagant. As much as I would like a Skyline, NSX, Evo, or an STI, I might just stick with an E30. It all depends on how much taxes and lawyer fees take out. School and savings are the most important things for me at the moment. A nicer apartment and an awesome car are secondary.op post a pic of the new car when you have a chance... shut these guys up or something.... fake or real this happens all the time... my sis got 110k for being in a car accident with a friend but she did a break a wrist. 6 months ago... and shes only a minor. you guy are surprised because this guy got 100k? this stuff is true and does happen.
I'm 25, my lawyer is in his 50's. He also has a wicked sense of humor. Lawyers are people too, you know. The original Les Schwab manager I talked to told me to fuck off over any amount "unless its from a court order." That's the only reason I got a lawyer involved.Did it take her 2 days to come to a 110k settlement? I know a lot of people who've been in situations like this. Yes you can get a lot of money out of it but not in two days lol takes a lot more time than that, but I know these kind of cases happen I'm not arguing that.
Simple fact here fellas. If schwab told him too fuck off over asking for 500 dollars they aren't going to agree to 100k or anywhere close to that amount 2 days later. Especially with a kid and lawyer that talks like a 17 year old trying to make a case against them.
I'm not counting any chickens. My lawyer showed me a great deal of research that gave me a pretty solid idea of how much I was going to end up with. I have a plan of what I'm going to do with it. I haven't, however, gone out and signed loan papers on a car, or already rented the condo. Once I have the money in my account I'll start to actually purchase things.Technically the manager of one outlet said no to $500, not someone who actually makes these decisions. Everyone would take the money in the op's shoes (Except LSM3). Most of us aren't knocking him for taking the money if any. It just seams like he's some kid who's dreaming and trolling us along. Good choice on school and expanding your business.
Getting a nice old car that won't loose value is not "blowing a wad". I bet that the OP can get his money back out of either the NSX or the GTR without a problem if it's taken care of.
And to the rest of you, a wheel falling off is a serious thing. Tighten those nuts.Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

It really offends me as a human being that you would say shit like this. For one, do you even have the slightest idea what OWS was about, or are you just spouting bullshit media rhetoric that you had spoonfed to you? Yes, at some point a bunch of spoiled kids that wanted free tuition came out and joined the protest, but it was never about that. When you protest publicly, random people can just show up and you can't really get rid of them. To be honest, I suspect that the same corrupt ass media that did its best to discredit the movement is what lured them out there. It's really easy to pick the enterprising hard workers and the "Occupy Wall Street"/worthless BA's paid for by Mommy/Daddy kiddos ITT.
There are a lot of people that if their Grandparents could reach down from the clouds above, they would slap the shit out of them in here too.
OWS is about selfishness, greed, corruption and not taking responsibility for your actions. The kind of stuff that people like you claim to be against. The problem with society today, and what the protest was entirely about, is that you have the wealthy buying government action. Congress is fully in the pocket of the rich, and the wishes and best interests of the public are completely ignored. You have representation by wealth, not representation by population.
And what about accountability? People love to prattle on about stupid kids that did liberal arts degrees and now want the world to fix their problems. How about greedy bankers that broke the world economy and then wanted the taxpayers to bail them out? And then because the government is in their pocket, they did, and they got away with it, with no repercussions on them whatsoever. That's not capitalism, that's not a free market. That's some "I want a free market and the government to not interfere with business, but only until I fuck up. When I fuck up, I want the taxpayer to wipe all of my problems away, because capitalism only works when I profit" If your business model is shitty, you should rot and die. This is how capitalism works, better, leaner, more efficient businesses will take your place.
I believe in hard work, and taking responsibility for your actions AND I support the OWS movement. Because that is what the movement is about. I absolutely despise that the same corrupt fucks that get away with everything used their puppet media to paint the movement as a bunch of entitled tweens. But more than anything, I hate that pretty much all of you fell for it and ate it up, and they got away with cheating, stealing and deceiving us yet again.Comment

OWS was a bunch of hypocrites. All it was was a bunch of bratty kids jumping on the Bandwagon of The Month. Where are they now? Oh yeah, no real long termers, just riding the wave of entitled first world white folk trying to damn the man and save the empire. Used as a tool to divert attention.
I suggest you duck, PaPa is getting ready to take a swing.

I guess I'll post something serious instead of just mocking you. Look, what you're saying makes no sense if you actually stop and think about it. You're crapping on one side for being entitled little shits, but supporting the other one who are also entitled little shits. You can either support or denounce handouts. Saying that one group should get handouts and another shouldn't is just idiotic.^Found another one in this thread.
