I know my m3 dreams of a megasquirt m30b25 swap with cut springs on vette salad shooters with a KN "cold air" intake filter and z3 short shift kit. Someday

The E30 M3 was rad for a stock car. I'll give it that.

I clearly should've bought myself a Lada 1300 and slapped a set of coilovers and 2jz on it.. would've been much better than a stock M3 .. I feel stupid now

When did this turn into an M3 debate ? lol In other countries like perhaps Australia...your M tech's aka 325i sports probably did come with an ///M badge but these cars never made it to the US. The only M Tech we have here are the 91/92 M tech convertibles with the M tech 2 package. Hope that clears some things up.

200HP out of a 2.3 is good even by today's standards so I don't understand how "E30" people keep hating on the S14. 25 years ago, no car was making 200HP out of 2.3 liters without a turbo, not even the euro 190 Cosworth or Porsche 944 (only their 3.0 liter got them above 200HP). Comparing it to a swap car is apples and oranges. LSx>S54>euro S50b32>S50/S52>M50/M52>M20 etc etc. Anyone can take a $500 E30 and swap a turbo LS engine in and call it a day if they want bragging rights but does that make it the better car?

I have and a 2.3 litre 4 cylinder making 200hp is hardly special.

Half the cars on here are far better. Just about anything with a swap > M3. Your name is Cabriolet though, so it's obvious you have no care for performance or handling, just the image that cames with the ownership.

My Euro 323i has an ///M badge because it came with the Motorsport package. M-Tech springs, Bilstein shocks, sports steering wheel and LSD.

Also, didn't M-Tech cars come with an ///M badge? There really isn't much difference between them and a regular 325iS besides the bodykit.

Get an ///M badge for the front grill. Gives a subtle hint to what's under the hood. That's what I plan on doing. BavAuto and others carry them. P/N 72601933569

I have an 320i mtech 2 japanese import that came from the factory with an M/// badge, so I'm going to keep it and piss off the ignorant folk.

I say badge it a 330i or just debadge it.
