To be honest, counter with $500....up to $650....but if he doesn't budge at all, just get it for $800....still an amazing price if it just needs another engine. We don't know about the suspension, rear diff, transmission, etc either, so bring those up as points to consider.

If it warrants $4k, the salvage title isn't really going to scare any e30 enthusiast....looking at some of the prices people are selling their e30s for, $4k for a salvaged title beauty is probably even low.1997 Artic Silver M3

No e30 enthusiast would spend 4k on a 4 door 318.

Maybe for a mint low mileage car (even that's really stretching it for a 4 door 318 or e) , not for a bag of dicks sitting on a pile of crap in a scrap yard.

Someone asking 3-4k for an Eta is not the same as a salvage title 4door 318i from a junk yard selling for 3-4k. Crackhead prices.

4k for a 4-door 318i? with pictures of when it was in the junkyard? it will definitely have some sort of title issue, if it has one at all now.
yeah.. it's a parts car, guys. sorry.Comment

Worse case I will part it out for the community if there are unforeseen issues. This only if I can buy it at a reasonable price. I'm researching now to see what the average price are for bumpers and doors and such. I also have to consider shipping hassles because of the not so strong BMW community in MI. Not sure of type of title they would issue so that would also be a key factor. I really appreciate the help so far. If anyone in MI would like to buy the car for themselves I would gladly forward the location to you via pm.
EDIT: just called the yard and the e30 has a clean title and will transfer as such.Last edited by graveshaker; 05-04-2013, 08:49 AM.Comment

That's good news.
Still not worth the hassle and cost to get that car back road worthy.

No it wouldn't bring as much money cause it would have a 318 salvage title. Even clean title your still not making money. Are you aware the costs of a proper s5x swap?
