That is very interesting! One would assume that carb cleaner might be too harsh for the paint. Now the scratches remaining, I'm guessing a good scratch compound type deal would take care of them?

No prob. Btw if your fingernail catches on the scratch, compound in most cases won't remove it. A cutting pad + orbital would be my nxt step before wet sanding which isn't for the inexperienced.

Unbundling the driveshaft, cleaning the ICV, removing baked on stickers, polishing my intake manifold, refreshing my AFM.

Pretty sure the main ingredient in carb cleaner is acetone. Much cheaper and to the point.

I use it so much when I swap. It cuts through anything and makes a nice clean surface to grease or paint. I used it for my m30 block, stripped it the wire wheel then another can then wire wheel. Stuff is amazing.

Try the red (aggressive) clay magic bar (mars paint slightly but removes overspray)
