Got a non BMW Suv

Well my 00 Ranger was getting up in miles. 88k and my eyes have been wandering for awhile at other light towing vehicles.Looked long and hard for 02+ X5 but just couldnt find one in my budget under 26k .Dont like any of the american suvs....too bland/weak. So I stuck to the jap imports.Drove many and fell in love with the pathfinder.

    So winner was a black 27k mile 05 Pathfinder. 2whl with a mighty 4.0 V6 with 5speed auto.(bored version of 350z engine).Sunroof,premium sound,power everything,boards,rack,3 rows....... its pretty much loaded.

Ive had it for a week and its just awesome it carries its weight well on the highway and its pretty quick for an suv. Took it to the track for giggles on friday, Ran a 15.4 @ 90.4. Bone stock that beats most stock e30s! LOL. Gets about 17 city and 25 hwy.Its a great value for what I needed.... a light towing vehicle, more room, good looks, and performance.

It was also several grand under my budget so now Im looking at some 20s or 22s to complement its black and chrome look.No spinners Ill guarantee you that!

Whats my point? Dont know just thought Id share.

Sounds pretty cool. Is that the new, much bigger pathfinder or do they still make a reasonably sized one?

Pathfinders rock. I had an old school one and it never really let me down. I kinda sorta beat the shit out of it though. I wasnt seeing those kinda mpg numbers. Id probably still have it if it did. That thing would go through anything.

Is 88k high miles for an SUV? Do you have a "high mileage" e30 you're lookin to get rid of? lol

I can't wait till i have such disposable income to take care of ownership boredom... My dad did this for a while and when i look back, i am disgusted by it. We went through 3 suburbans in about 5 years I think. Whatever keeps the economy going i guess. Too bad you couldn't find an X5.

Sorry, im in a bad mood.

The new pathfinders are teh RoXorz!!! Have you considrered the new frontier? Same engine but you can couple it with a 6speed manual.

Rangers suck, 88k is high miles on one! I had a 2000 XLT Supercab, 4x4, 5 speed with the 3.0 v6. Useless as a truck, could barely even move itself. Towing a small boat on the highway was out of the question, too. Good luck with the new Pathfinder, they are definately nice....Good choice of truck/suv.

I love the new Nissan SUVs. I'll be seriously considering an XTerra when I'm out of school in a year.
I think at this point, Nissan is doing a great job at picking the right powertrains, styling and standard features to keep mid-size SUVs as practical, affordable and easy on the eyes as possible.

Enjoy your Pathfinder. Sounds like it will serve you well.

I looked at the 4 door Frontier PU but while it met all my criteria currently it would become too small in a year or two....when we might have a child. So yeah this new design Pathfinder is great.Nicely sized and equiped between the Xterra and the Armada.

Jarvis is right. Nissan is right on money in its SUV and PU marketing/development. No cannibalism within its lineup like other companies.

Probably good you bailed on the X5. The X3 kills it anyway.

Are you bashing the X5 that he didn't buy, or the Pathfinder? New Nissan SUVs are built on a boxed steel frame designed for trucks.

So you mean x5's and x3's suck? I agree. But the only car based suv nissan is making is the murano/infiniti FX.
