You Call That A Build? PATHETIC!

Just wanted to point something out that I find hilarious. I'm a member of ClubLexus.com and an owner of a 2008 Lexus IS F. For some reason right now, everyone is creating their own "build" threads, but it's lame because the amount of mods out there that are available for the IS F is actually not very big and everyone pretty much ends up with the same car. It has no character and in some cases, not even very personal.

Also... most of these guys just buy parts, and someone else installs it, unless it's something like a lip kit, then OK, they might install it themselves.

I look at the Projects Forum here in the members gallery and DAMN...some of that stuff is SERIOUS work and some serious actual BUILDS.

Which brings up the statement...built...not bought...right?

Lol. That's how a lot of people are. Not just Lexus, Not just Bmws, and not just Hondas. Put in some wheels (they got used with tires), some suspension and stickers and it's a build thread. Iv'e gone through a whole engine, transmission, whole interior, top, suspension, wheels, and cosmetics and I still can't even call that a build.

This. And, cool story bro. When I think of build I usually think of resto, resto/mod, or heavily modded and often body-worked. At the very least I would expect suspension overhaul, engine mod/tune, exhaust, and beefing up some associated parts.
