    Anti Theft Wheel Locks/Mechanisms

*I searched and did not find anything. If there is a thread similar to this please redirect me and delete this*

This recent New Years my sisters car (Honda) was broken into and stolen. Ever since my mom has urged me to get a steering wheel lock, which I have slacked on getting.

I am going down to San Diego soon, and now she is real paranoid and wants me to get one.

My question is do any of you e30 owners use an anti theft wheel lock or something similar? Which one?

I'm sure a few people on here have removeable steering wheels, and NRG sells a piece that locks over the empty hub with a key. I realize this is a much pricier option though

Oh! and because pictures always make a thread more fun to read:

But also way cooler. I have a knock off of "The Club" that I never bother using since I live in a decent part of the civilized world, but I could see how it could be useful to avoid the oppourtunistic theif.
For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!

only reason i forsee honda using wheel locks is because unlike our cars, the wheel doesn't lock once the key is removed from the ignition.

The club is completely useless. Cut steering wheel, remove club, steal car.

On topic, is this something you know from experience??

I guess that makes the NRG hub almost worth it?

I agree the club is easily defeated by thieves. A detachable steering wheel is a better option, unless your neighborhood car thieves happen to carry around aftermarket steering wheels they will notice it before they break into your car and select the next target

In the case that the lock above is very useful

What about a clutch lock? Assuming your car is a manual

Doesn't even need to be cut...with enough force steering wheel can be bent and club removed.

Or you could just use a tow truck
