    E30 M3 - What's it worth as is?

So I am thinking about selling my M3 and putting the money towards another hobby. I have no idea what the car would be worth as it sits today.
Here is a link to my build thread so you can see where it started and where it is today:

    M3 Build Thread

I'm not sure how serious I am because I really love this car but for the right price I may consider moving on for now. I sourced a large part of the interior but that needs to be redone as well.

Any input or comments would be much appreciated.

Here are a few recent pics:

oh that car. it sold a few years back for like 6k or something.
it's so fing beat. you will have all top dollar people scared off. it's missing the s14 which cuts a ton of value. imo you'd be lucky to get 7k
    Much wow

no s14, no interior and shot body... this is essentially a rough roller in the eyes of the E30 M3 crowd. If title is clean, $8,000 is probably the best you could hope for.

I think selling it for what you paid would be worth it. It's not a bad start though.
I'll give you $5k right now.

You just bought it a year ago. Ask what you have into it and go from there.

Thanks for the replys guys. I'm about $8-$10k into it already so it makes more sense to just finish it. Plus I have a feeling that if I got rid of it I would regret it. I love the car and am just being impatient when it comes to my other project.

I plan on tearing into it again when the temps cool down a little. If I keep it my goal is to have it done by mid next year so I can show it off a little!

Holy crap, I almost bought that car I think. It's kinda hard to see where exactly it's at right now, but I think you'll have trouble getting over $10k, I'd put it somewhere in $7-10k, probably closer to the lower end. You may be better off selling any expensive new parts you put on it first.

s50/s52 doesn't necessarily hurt the value unless it's a pristine all original m3.

Remove the engine and transmission and sell as a rust free roller and sell the S52/zf320 you might come out slightly ahead.

Agreed, I paid 7K for a good roller 4 years ago. Granted it came with a Lower end and numerous other good parts.

If you wanted to part it out you would be able to make a profit but with some degree of headache and aggravation. There are a few members on S14 looking for good rollers presently. I would imagine some for M3T racing others for building a street car to there cup o tea.

                            Best of luck with it.

Thing is this one seems to be missing a lot of the stock parts which can kill the value. The reason rollers are going up is because they're worth that much in parts.

I picked up mine for $10k about a year ago, not in very good shape but everything was there, and that seemed to be a pretty fair(not great but not bad) price for one in its condition. I'm not sure if you guys looked at the build thread to see how his car sits right now but it might give you a different idea than just the outside pics you see here.

M3 prices are difficult though, there are so many factors going into it, even timing is a factor as you have to find a buyer looking for exactly what you have. I'd just start high and see where it goes, if no bites then drop it down a bit.
