SF BayArea: Reasonable and Reliable E30 Shop/Mechanic Recommendation?

    Hello everybody,

Could someone recommend a reasonable/reliable E30 shop/mechanic on in the SF Bay area? I'm currently relocating to Portland and in SF for a few days. I would like to have some things looked over and addressed before continuing my drive up.

    Please let me know..

    THank you.

Another option is A1 Autoworks in San Rafael. Its about 18 minutes no traffic. JP is a really goof no BS guy. Does everything from oil changes to custom engine and race car builds and has been doing so for quite some time.
I have lived in SF for basically my whole life but can not recommend any mechanics in the city. I have had disappointments with basically everyone I have tried.

+1 for JP @ A1 he races specE30. Also try BTM Motorworks another indie who runs SpecE30.

If SpecE30 participation is a qualifying factor, Derek at BP meets that as well.

I like JP at A1 because hes a very talented mechanic and a good guy that will go out of his way to get your car done. Mean check out any of his work from e30 race cars to crazy m10/s14 hybrid motors. He had to replace my clutch slave and I needed it done asap, no time for a part order. He happened to have his spec e30 up on the lift so he put the slave from his race car into my car just so I could use my car. Thats the kind of help you will get at A1. Plus his dog is great!
