    Need some info on these

Just picked up these factory e30 wool (or sheepskin?) seat vests from a guy for real cheap. Anyone seen these before or have any info on them? I thought they were pretty cool so I grabbed them for next to nothing. Click image for larger version

I actually read up on them after you posted those and now I want them. I absolutely hate how hot my seats get in the summer and those look like they will do wonders.

In my young foolish age I said no to a free set. Owner was throwing them in with the car and I did not think they were cool...oh the mind of a teenager haha. I want these SO BAD for my Recaros.

i have a set, they are awesome. i made the mistake to get them drycleaned. 1 shriveled. i'm kind of pissed.

they are absolutely amazing in the winter. your butt will never freeze or be cold sitting on these.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Glad I got these for next to nothing! May keep them or sell them, not sure yet! So they are pretty rare then? I'm guessing this was an option or something at the dealer when purchasing the car new?

I have a black set. Chillin in a box, tucked away until winter. Too hot in the summer IMO. Last winter I was so cozy. ;)

Those are awesome, especially if you have tan seats! I remember reading about these in the accessories catalog back in the day. They were a cheaper way to get sheepskins in the car without paying a fortune for full covers, plus they still felt cozy. My dad had something kinda similar in his e32, they were amazing and easy to install as well.
