BMW is finally realizing the E30 parts market

They are following the business model of Mercedes and Porsche.
How this works is
Consolidate slower moving (classic) parts inventory into a seperate area or facility
Parts price mark-up to mind-bending levels.
Slower shipping times.
Market it like it's a good thing (it's not.)
NLA parts will stay NLA, it's unlikely that they will reproduce anything

Fucking this - all you guys who are optimistic... idk

All I've noticed in the last year is reduced parts availability, 2-3x price increases and BMW US cracking down on euro parts. Tried to purchase a euro bumper left blinker last week and got turned down. Fuck BMW US

you can still get euro parts it's just a little harder.

as far as parts going out of stock - if it doesn't say NLA they will most likely produce more when there is demand. I bought some brand new parts for my BBS centercaps from BMW, they were made in 2012, and the amazing thing is they must have been the original mold because it stills says "Made in W. Germany", which hasn't been a thing for over 20 years..

ECS Tuning has that part. I'm not sure if they count towards the 55 or not. Seems like a suspiciously low number to me, but yes, I'm going to eventually need one, too.
